Revolutionary smart tactical vest for law enforcement to be showcased at IDEX exhibition in Abu Dhabi

Wearin’, the Swiss technology startup of the Conextivity group, will showcase its innovative AI-powered tactical vest co-developed with and field-tested by the French Gendarmerie Nationale (DGGN). This groundbreaking solution transforms officer’s safety and field operations by integrating artificial intelligence for abnormal situation detection, and IoT connectivity, operating independently from standard radio systems.
The solution will be demonstrated at the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi (Feb 17-21, 2025), on the stand of International Golden Group (IGG), a leading UAE supplier of high-end defense and security solutions to the UAE Armed Forces, Ministry of Interior, and other defense and security authorities.
The smart vest features an AI-enhanced warning device called the Wearin’ Brain that automatically detects and alerts for falls, stab wounds, and bullet impacts, while also providing manual SOS capabilities with instant geolocation transmission. Its state-of-the-art connectivity system includes smart power management with a 12-hour battery life and streamlined charging through a single cable.
“The vest embeds the latest technologies in connectivity, detection, communication and visibility,” explains Lieutenant-Colonel Fabrice Blanc, director of the “connected vest” program at the DGGN, who will also be present at the IDEX to discover other innovations for the French Gendarmerie Nationale.
Unlike traditional standalone solutions, Wearin’s comprehensive platform provides command staff with actionable intelligence about immediate dangers while generating predictive insights about long-term health impacts. The system’s ability to process multiple data streams simultaneously gives operational command unprecedented visibility into the operations, helping them optimize resource deployment while keeping personnel safer.
Designed for optimal ergonomics, the vest incorporates a modular architecture compatible with existing body armor, utilizing MOLLE fastening systems and snag-free pouches. The integration of luminous fibers enhances visibility during night operations, while the open architecture ensures compatibility with current and future law enforcement systems.
The Wearin’ X DGGN Smart Tactical Vest underwent comprehensive field testing throughout 2024 with various gendarmerie units. This innovation partnership, supported by the French Defense Innovation Agency (AID), aims to revolutionize safety and operational efficiency across law enforcement agencies.
